Poor Rachel! A few months ago she started complaining about pain near the back of her jaw. We wondered if maybe it was because of a wisdom tooth. I told her to tough it out until summer, and then we would make an appointment. I was kinda hoping it would all go away, but it just kept getting worse. So, two weeks ago I made an appointment with an oral surgeon. They took an X-ray, and sure enough, all four wisdom teeth were just below the surface, trying to push through. Rachel has a small jaw, and there was just no room for those big teeth, they were almost sideways. So last Friday she went under the knife and had them removed. It was a rough weekend, she was miserable. But she looked so cute with her swollen chipmunk cheeks! She is doing much better today, and even went into work for a few hours this afternoon. I guess this is something most of us must go through, a right of passage into adulthood. Congratulations Rachel, you did it! And hopefully nothing worse will happen to you all summer!
