A Graduate Again

I did it! I completed my Master's program! The last time I wore a cap and gown was 29 years ago when I graduated from BYU. At that time I was newly married and expecting my first baby. I put my career on hold for a few years while my babies were small, but I always dreamed of furthering my education by completing a master's program. And now I get to wear a cap and gown once again! I am so grateful for the opportunity to achieve my goal. A big shout-out to my husband and family for their unwavering support and for encouraging me to chase after my dreams.

Evening in the Canyon

 This has become a tradition we love...the Monday before school starts we go up the canyon for roasting hotdogs and marshmallows. It will always remind me of the year I was hired as a first grade teacher at Lehi Elementary. I had just got the phone call from my principal, he said, "Are you ready to go to work?" And my heart soared. I will never forget that night. So fun. 

Shen Yun

We waited a long time to see this show! It was originally scheduled for March or 2020...right when the pandemic began. I was so sad when it was cancelled. Then is was rescheduled, cancelled again!  Finally!!! We got to see it last Saturday night and it was worth the wait. So beautiful...the costumes, the music, the dancing, the set. Just beautiful. So glad we were able to go. 

Topsail Beach, North Carolina

Rachel and George organized our Smith family trip this summer to Topsail Beach, North Carolina. So fun!

Hawaii

 Kent and I had the most wonderful visit to Maui. We were so excited to experience the beauty and culture of Hawai. It was amazing in every way.
