New Orleans will always hold a special place in my heart and in the hearts of everyone in our family. Kent served his mission there over three decades ago, and the kids have always wanted their dad to show them around the city they have heard him talk about all their lives. This week we were finally able to take the whole family to the Big Easy and it did not disappoint! We stayed in a colonial style townhome right on Bourbon Street, took a riverboat cruise along the Mississippi River and tapped our feet at an old-time jazz concert. We got up close with alligators in the bayou, wandered among the tombs of an above ground cemetery, explored the French Quarter and stuffed ourselves on Cajun cuisine and beignets. So grateful for the opportunity to share that experience and create priceless memories with the people I love most.
