Stefanie decided she wanted to join the orchestra at her middle school, playing the violin. Hooray! I've tried to convince all my kids to learn to play an orchestra instrument, but have had no luck convincing any of them until now. Thank you, Stef! We are renting it from a local music store, and this summer we signed her up for summer orchestra camp with the school band director, Mr. Grogan. There were about ten children enrolled in the camp. Every day for two weeks I took her to the school for violin lessons which she loved. A concert was held on the last day of camp, it was outstanding! Since then, Stefanie has carried her violin to and from school each day, and practices nearly every afternoon. I love to hear the sweet sounds of violin in my home! I hope she keeps it up.
