State Tournament, 2012

Well, the high school basketball season is over for another year. So proud of Kent for taking his team to the state tournament for the fourth consecutive year. What a thrilling accomplishment for him! It was so exciting to be there, there is nothing like it! The kids and I ditched school for the day to cheer for our favorite team at the Maverick Center in West Valley City. Our hearts are still hurting over our loss to Northridge in the opening round IN OVERTIME by TWO POINTS. Ugh. Hard to watch those dejected seniors walk off the court for the last time. This does not get easier. Someday it will be OUR turn to celebrate after the final game. It will be OUR fans and students storming the court. It will be KENT and HIS players accepting the big trophy and cutting down the nets. Can hardly wait for that day.
