Greece...Part 1--Athens and Mykonos

We were so excited to travel to Greece! We got off to a rough start when we arrived at the airport and found that the first leg of our flight from SLC to Dallas had been cancelled. What?! We were rerouted to Chicago and ended up sitting in the SLC airport for over 12 hours waiting for that flight. When we arrived in Chicago we got a hotel and headed to Athens the next afternoon. Bummer because we missed out on a day and a half of Athens. But we were so glad to finally arrive.

Our adventure began in Athens, one of the world's oldest cities. Looking out over the Acropolis and seeing the Parthenon in person was truly awe inspiring. It was incredible to walk where philosophers, scholars and ancient civilizations one lived thousands of years ago.

Of course we enjoyed plenty of authentic Greek food--fresh salads, warm pita bread, grilled kabobs, seafood, olives and desserts. Yumm! Every meal we made sure to sit in a charming outdoor setting with beautiful views. These were some of our favorites!

Next we boarded a ferry to the beautiful island of Mykonos. If you have ever seen postcards or pictures of white buildings with blue doors and sparkling blue water, that was probably Mykonos!

We loved wandering through the maze of winding streets, discovering little shops, and hidden corners around every turn.

The famous windmills overlooking the Aegean Sea were so fun to see

Girls Night 2026

We had such a fun time at Girls Night! Rachel and Ivy picked me up and we drove to Salt Lake City where we picked up Stefanie from work and drove to Grand America. We checked into our room, then went to dinner at the hotel restaurant. Other highlights...exploring the hotel, shopping spree at City Creek Mall, matching PJs, sleeping in two double beds, a morning walk through the city, and a yummy breakfast at the same restaurant. Fun times, memories, and bonding with the girls!
